SCORE Chicago and City Treasurer Stephanie Neely announce the Finalists In the Second Annual Elevator Pitch Plus Contest
CHICAGO, Il, September 24 – SCORE Chicago and the City of Chicago Treasurer’s Office are pleased to announce the Finalists in the Second Annual Elevator Pitch Plus Contest.
#51 Ariane Fisher Storymix Media
#171 Kasra Moshkani HireBrite
#178 Molly Meyer Rooftop Green Works
The contest goal was to encourage local Chicago based small businesses to develop and use their “elevator pitch.” This pitch is a way of communicating the business’ value proposition in an efficient and informative manner. In a brief minute, the contestants explained what they do, how they do it and where someone can learn more.
“An elevator pitch is a fundamental business skill,” said Treasurer Stephanie Neely, “that helps turn opportunity into success.”
More than 300 entrants submitted a video of their elevator pitch, vying for their share of $8,500 in prizes and a chance to make their pitch on CAN-TV. Each entrant was provided with an opportunity to attend a SCORE workshop specifically tailored to teach how to write and record their pitch. In addition, they were encouraged to meet with one of the 120 local SCORE mentors for FREE face to face meetings that teach this or any other business skill, as long as the company leader requires, for the life of the business!
The videos were judged by more than 50 local business and government leaders.

The winners will be honored at the Small Business Entrepreneurial Expo on Friday, October 4th. The prizes are: $5,000 for 1st Place, $2,500 for 2nd Place and $1,000.
